Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a zoological theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando. It is the largest theme park in the world, covering 580 acres (230 ha). The park opened on Earth Day, April 22, 1998, and was the fourth theme park built at the resort. The park is dedicated and themed around the natural environment and animal conservation.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a unique area dedicated to animal conservation and education. Accessible only by the Wildlife Express Train from Harambe in Africa, this area offers a behind-the-scenes look at Disney’s animal care facilities and research efforts. Guests can visit the Conservation Station to learn about animal care and veterinary medicine, explore the Affection Section petting zoo to interact with various domestic animals, and stroll through the Habitat Habit! Outdoor trail to discover the importance of different habitats for wildlife. While the Animation Experience at Conservation Station, where guests could learn to draw Disney characters, is closed, Rafiki’s Planet Watch offers a meaningful and educational experience for all ages.

DinoLand U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a whimsical land celebrating dinosaurs and palaeontology. The area is designed to resemble a roadside attraction from the 1950s and features a mix of thrill rides, interactive exhibits, and playful theming. The main attraction is DINOSAUR, a thrilling dark ride where guests travel back in time to rescue a dinosaur before a meteor impacts. Other highlights include the Boneyard, a multi-level playground with dinosaur-themed slides and climbing structures, and the TriceraTop Spin, a gentle spinning ride for younger guests. Despite its playful atmosphere, DinoLand U.S.A. also incorporates educational elements, showcasing dinosaur fossils and offering insights into paleontological research.
